SCOPE OF SERVICES
 

I. MATERIAL RECEIVING AND CHECKING:
 
We will perform a turnkey service that will include but not be limited to: 
 
Off-load material delivered to us by your suppliers/vendors; unpack (if required), inspect, visually verify compliance with purchase order requirements - in the event of overage, shortage or damage to the material, will notify the carrier and the vendor and issue an OS&D report that will enable follow up and resolution of the problem; prepare a “Material Receipt” immediately upon receipt of all material, with details of Purchase Order no., Supplier/Vendor, items, description and quantity as per sample attached. 

A “Material Receiving Report” will be issued and transmitted to you either on a daily, weekly or case by case basis, based on your requirements. 

“MATERIAL STATUS REPORT” will be transmitted on a weekly basis advising you of the orders received, your end user, items received, approximate weight and volume, mode of shipment, and an expected shipping date. 

All the above information will be sent to you via fax to keep you in constant touch with all material being received by us. 

We have entered in agreements with local carriers and interstate carriers to bring cargo from other locations to ours.  This cost and service is provided on request by our customers. 

II. PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT:

We would prefer that all material is purchased on a delivered to our warehouse basis in order for us to provide you with a complete door to door service and as such avoid any problems in material handling. 

Once we get a release from you to ship the material, we start preparing goods for ocean and or air shipment. 

A. CONSOLIDATION/CONTAINERIZATION; 

Unitizing, palletizing, shrink wrapping, banding, strapping, marking, and getting it ready for export shipment strictly as required by you and your end users (Aramco, SCECO etc.), loading into a container as needed, consolidating various orders for the same project to reduce shipping charges, prepare a packing list (as per sample attached. 

B. EXPORT CRATING 

Building crates out of new lumber for material that cannot be shipped as above, and also for fragile items, and shipments that will be in a container.  These crates are made in line with industry standards, waterproofed, banded and marked.  The crates are built separately for air and ocean shipments. 

 C. SKIDDING/BUNDLING 

For material that cannot be containerized or crated, like steel pipes, we will make skids or bundles based on weight and volume limitations. 

Upon readiness for shipment, material will be loaded and delivered to the port/airport or departure and at the same time a “Shipment Advice” will be sent to your office, giving carrier’s name, departure and estimated arrival details. 

III. AIR AND OCEAN FREIGHT:

A.   OCEAN: 

In order to provide our clients a continued prompt service, we have entered into an agreement with MAERSK LINE to offer a biweekly consolidation sailing from Houston every other Thursday and arriving Damman Port in 31 days. 

All material released by you for ocean shipment will be loaded Tuesday prior to vessel sailing. 

Bills of ladings are issued by MAERSK Line for each shipment. 

Based on our knowledge of Saudi Arabian requirements, we issue separate Bills of Ladings for ARAMCO, SCECO EXEMPT and AOC shipments. 

B. We offer weekly consolidation service from Houston to Dhahran Airport with a transit  time of 3/5 days.  The services are based on the following airlines: 

1. DEFERRED SERVICE: 
ROYAL JORDANIAN AIRLINES
PAKISTAN INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES 

We also have arrangements with the following airlines; 

2. DIRECT SERVICE
BRITISH AIRWAYS
AIR FRANCE
SAUDIA AIR CARGO 

We will offer both services and will be awaiting your choice depending on your needs. 

IV. EXPORT FORWARDING:

Provide complete export freight forwarding services to include:
Coordination with the steamship lines and airlines regarding cargo space availability, booking cargo space, arranging cargo delivery to the pier/airport, coordination with the exporting carrier, preparation of all necessary export documentation, preparation of commercial invoice, certificate of origin, airway bill/ocean bill of lading, shippers export declaration, other necessary certificates etc.; 

 Arranging delivery of the necessary documentation to the proper authorities and later distribution  as per your requirements; 

V. CHAMBER/CONSULAR LEGALIZATION:

Provide comprehensive adherence to all requirements laid out by the necessary chamber of commerce and consulates. 

Preparation of all necessary documents based on the constant update regulations, arranging delivery of documents to these authorities, payment of necessary fees to consulate and chambers and then delivery to you based on your needs.
 
 

COMPUTERIZED MATERIAL HANDLING/EXPEDITING:

TranspoTrade, in conjunction with outside programmers, have developed a material receiving and shipping program that enables our customer to obtain an on-demand inventory of all cargo in our warehouse at 

This program runs on an IBM compatible machine that allows us to transfer data in strict confidence to our customers either via telephone transfer, disk transfer or fax. 

The status reports can be issued on a daily, weekly, or per project basis.  They can be segregated by vendor, supplier or consignee basis.  Based on these reports, we can, if required, expedite cargo from your vendors and manufacturers to enable prompt delivery to you and your end user. 

This date will work only base don the input we are provided by your. 

We require that we be provided with a copy of all your purchase orders with estimated delivery time, quantities, part numbers, your P.O. No., their reference, end user and their reference no., and mode of shipment once we have received it.  We also need to get from you your specific requirements to handle overage, shortage and damaged cargo.  We also need your exact instruction for cargo received partial.
